Hello there.

This has been in the works for a long while now, so we are excited (and not a little apprehensive) to be able to announce that we will be performing for seven nights at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year.

We will be creating a live soundtrack to the latest creation of award-winning dancer-choreographer Jean Abreu, called ‘Inside’. It’s an exploration of incarceration, solitude, hope and hopelessness within prison walls. He has choreographed it to 65 songs old and new (as in, exclusively-new). We’ll be playing a bunch of our back catalogue, including songs that have so far never been performed live.

The dates are 6th – 12th August, at the Zoo Roxy Venue 115.
Tickets are £12. The shows start at 18.25 (end 19.25).
For more information/box office, go here: www.zoovenues.co.uk // 0131 662 6892.

Jean’s website can be found here: www.jeanabreu.com.

We’ll post links to press releases, etc. with more information on over at 65daysofstatic.com shortly.

N.B – Don’t worry – we won’t be doing any of the actual dancing.

Basically, because we didn’t get quite enough craziness last time, we’re headed back to Russia for a short-but-full-on tour in September.  The dates are:

24th: St. Petersburg, A2 Club.
25th: Moscow, Avant Club.
26th: Yekaterinburg, Tele-Club.

This is what it looked like last time: Crash Tactics Live in Yekaterinburg.

Here is some actual Russian: Привет, всем поклонникам нашей музыки в России!

We will be avoiding the illegal taxis.

Some more dates have appeared/been announced since we last mailed you.

The Americas – you keep asking us if we’re coming…You may have noticed that our new record isn’t actually out over there yet. We’re working on it. Until that happens, we haven’t quite got the means to get to you.

Yesterday, the other three of us walked into our rehearsal room to find Rob on his knees with a screwdriver, trying to build a giant springboard which would catapult him and his drum kit across the Atlantic. It would have been funny if it weren’t for the tears rolling down his cheeks…
