If you’re still out there, reading this, we can only assume you are waiting patiently for the news that “We Were Exploding Anyway” will be the fourth 65daysofstatic album. And the tracklisting is as follows:
MOUNTAINHEAD
CRASH TACTICS
DANCE DANCE DANCE
PIANO FIGHTS
WEAK4
COME TO ME
GO COMPLEX
DEBUTANTE
TIGER GIRL
Made in Sheffield, Mixed & Mastered in New York.
Out in that vaguest of times, THE SPRING, sometime between the first crocus and the last time you have the heating on.
R. Smith sings words on ‘Come to Me’ and our Debbie made a choir out of her voice on ‘Debutante’.
Thanks for waiting. More to follow.

We’ve just added a date at the Stylus in Leeds on the 1st May as part of our UK tour. It’s a headline show at the Live at Leeds festival.
We’ll be joined on all UK dates not only by the magnificent Nedry, but also Loops Haunt, which means night after night of heavy heavy beats and dancing, with not a single post-rock guitar in sight. (Unless you consider our guitars post-rock, in which case, we will carry that albatross without complaint, bar the occasional pithy remark in interviews).
Seriously though, Nedry and Loops Haunt are awesome, and worth going to see even if we weren’t there:
Keep checking the shows page at 65daysofstatic.com for more news. IF you’re in some part of the world we haven’t announced shows in yet, don’t panic! Only one of two things can happen – either we’re not coming to play any shows where you live, or we’re working on it (we’re looking at you here, America). There’s a lot more year left after May. In fact – we’re gonna be at SXSW in March, thanks in no small part to the PRSF Foundation. Not sure how many shows we’re playing yet. As many as we possibly can. As ever, keep an eye on our website.

Back in September, 65daysofstatic provided some incidental time-travel music for Radio 3′s adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s ‘Slaughterhouse 5′. We’re very happy to hear that Slaughterhouse will be re-broadcast on the Radio 4 as the afternoon play on Saturday 13th of February, where lots more people will probably hear it. Needless to say, someone, somewhere at the BBC thought it was VERY GOOD INDEED. And they were right. Because it is.
65x.

You guys had loads of tracks which didnt make the cut, could we see a spin off album / second disc with We Were Exploding Anyway full of them? That would be brilliant.

that’s an interesting title…
and do we get treated to any hidden tracks? i think you should have hidden tracks. not as a bonus, no no no, that’s boring, but hidden somewhere like behind track 7, so you have to hold down rewind to find it. not sure how that would work on vinyl though.
very very excited. can you please release it on Monday 22nd March. i like that. please. or is that too early?
