If there’s one thing worse than not being on tour, it’s not being on tour when you’re a supposed to be on tour. We have recently had an excellent time at Electric Picnic in Ireland and Mjam festival in Belgium and if you were there, than thankyou for making it so. These one-off weekends away only served to remind us we’ve been home too long. In recognition of this, we’ve been staying in and ignoring the sunshine, mostly stuck to laptops and working on something concrete. Not amateur sculpting, but hopefully something as heavy as concrete that we may or may not release next year. The frustrating thing about writing this here is that it must remain a MASSIVE SECRET.
These things, however, aren’t secrets at all:
65daysofstatic will be going back to San Francisco on October 6th to play the Download Festival, alongside (or probably before) luminaries such as The Cure, AFI, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, She Wants Revenge, Metric and more.
We’re also touring the UK and Europe this November. The UK Dates are already up on the shows page, but check back for the European Dates as we confirm them, and hopefully, some support acts. Because we’re going to need all the support we can get.
And so the saga continues. Will we pay next month’s rent? Is summer time now happening in September? If you added up the advert breaks on Channel 4 during Fahrenheit 9/11 last night would they have turned out to have been LONGER THAN THE FILM? Isn’t that depressing? Is there also something offensive about watching the worst of human atrocity and suffering and then being sold home insurance by TALKING HAMSTERS?
65daysofstatic.

Yeah, I have to say, watching documentaries on TV ruins them for me. Especially something along the lines of F: 9/11. I hate ads, now that I think about it.
