Hot.hot.hot.

We’ve mainly been rehearsing a lot in a big room that smells of overripe fruit and also taking the travelling circus on the road a little bit as well.

Here are some photos from the Dour festival in Belgium last week, which was ace, and hot, and vaguely alcoholic. I think we played to the most people we ever played to.  Then we played the excellent Guilfest in Guildford, and ended up headlining because IN ME couldn’t make it. And then we rolled up the road about 20 miles to Glade festival, confused everyone by not being a DJ or laptop dude, and saw a load of people on too many drugs getting a little dehydrated in the sunshine. We were also happily re-united with Will our onetime long time soundguy who we haven’t seen for months because he’s been touring with a big famous band. He’d had half his foot sliced off by a taxi in New York.  We legged it before the sundown/comedown.

The weekend before that, Youthmovies turned up in Sheffield on the Forward Russia tour and came to stay the night. And played a great show full of new tunes. And all had new equipment.

Other than that it’s all been work work work, getting ready for Japan and Truckfest. Rob’s bought a glockenspiel and a tiny cymbal. We set out to write some massive dance tunes, but are actually writing some lengthy sad piano numbers.

See you at Truck or in Japan. Maybe?
